... ? @ Mammoth Lakes, California

This place is not too bad. They even have the butterfly pea flower tea with delicious Khao Soi vermicelli minced pork and tomato soup... ?
Totally recomended if u ever visit Mammoth lakes.
Don't worry that blue drink is not the disinfectant juice that's suggested by our current President to fight covid.... As crazy as I am I will not suggest anyone to drink disinfectant juice to fight this pandemic.... @ Noodle-Ly

Today special dinner menu came straight from Boston and Kobe Japan
Which are... Little lobby lobby lobster and of course smooth like a butter wagyu kobe beef. ? So excited even I need to pull all my connections.
Look at the marbling of the beef... Mmm mmm mmm... This wagyu for sure is not the lower grade wagyu wanna be, like they offer in some of the restaurant with unbelievable cheap price deals. This is ultimate wagyu with the birth certificate and the stamp of the cow nose. Crazy?? Nah... The father and the mother of this cow and where the ranch where it was born also stated on the birth certificate. That really excite me to cook. 1st grade of materials usually easy to cook and always come great.
So without further a do I cooked this wagyu with organic black berry xo sauce paired with garlic lobster with Japanese ginger sauce.
This totally the expensive version of the "Surf and Turf" that usually u order at your steakhouse. Or they called this menu "Steak and shrimp". probably they used filet mignon or New York steak cut with jumbo shrimps.
With a little bit of arugula tossed with the ginger garlic dressing and with my fav Terra chips... ?
Totally perfect day to said "Hellooo Cholesterol" ?
Is ok u can always bike it off.
Ok guys is time to eat my special dinner to refuel for tommorow 3 days hiking on the wild.
Wooott wooottt what a wonderful life... ? @ San Francisco, California

Among all the new dim sum restaurants in San Francisco, this is the one that I recommend. This posting is not paid or sponsored by Harborview so this is only my own opinion.
The list of the food in order:
1. Portuguese style egg custard tart
2. Deep fried bean curd skin rolls with shrimp
3. Xiao lung bao with kurubota stuffing
4. Baked BBQ pork buns with crunchy sugar crust
(must try this one smooth like butter) ?
5. Deep fried glutinous rice dumpling
6. Shrimp Har Gow dumpling
7. Chicken feets
8. Mango pudding.
This is officially no 2 on the best dimsum restaurant in San Francisco after Old school Yank sing due to their ultimate Baked BBQ pork buns with crunchy sugar crust.
I heard little bird said that this place used to be "Crystal Jade" and also I heard this Singaporean based dim sum invested 14 millions on the renovation in 2014 and than 4 years later closed??? ? Ouch... That must hurt. If they invested that money in apartment, they might make more money now. This is a lesson for all the investors who want to invest in the food culture in San Francisco. My city has so many michelin stars restaurants for such a small city. So money alone is not enough to compete with all these great talent chefs here. ? That is the reality. In this city some of people are willing to spend up to 800 usd or more for fine dining for 2 persons. That might sound absurd in other cities in the world but this is San Francisco where many talented chefs meet the beautiful city. So... Be prepared how much u are willing to spend to enjoy the culinary culture and all the great produce here. As long as u are willing to burn ur money in San Francisco, Napa will surprise ur tounge and ur wallet. ? Quality fine dining doesn't come cheap. If u want fine dining recommendations feel free to Direct message me. But again be prepare to get shock with the bill... ?

Dinner today is special which is: "Opor Ayam" ?
In engliah it is "chicken white curry" with coconut milk ?
Like usual Indonesian cooking is really time consuming. I even needed to make 2 ingredients - dry and wet. If u patiently bind The free range chicken and all these organic ingredients and keep babying the coconuts milk.. These dish can be a good "Love potion" ? so good and so rich for dating dish especially when u know how to present it. Brutally honest the original "Opor ayam" presentation need to be twisted like "samgye tang" presentation in order to compete internationally. ?
Maybe that is why my philosophy in the kitchen is "Dish must be edible art" Like love... The eye is the window to ur soul, the sense of smell tickles ur brain than the tasts kicks in. Top 3 senses that God created for Human to enjoy or create every dishes in the magical place called "Kitchen" ?
And dont forget the sambal bajak or Bajak chilly to spice up the curry.
? Just incase if u want to know how I spent my 3 hours cooking? Well... Just play "I shall believe" song from Sheryl Crow that will help u not to give up and keep ur mood while u cooking? @ San Francisco, California

Trio breakfast club
C. Easy organic parmesan cheese with pan seared lobster & homemade pico de gallo salsa. Partly inspired by the Mexican restaurant where I used to work ?
During my college years, there was a major financial crisis that hit a lot of Asian countrie, which forced me to work in restaurant and valet parking. Maybe some of u would guess that I either worked at a Japanese or Chinese restaurant like most of Asian kids those days. But... My love and curiousity of Spanish food inspired me to work in the one of the Spanish restaurants that taught me a good basis of my cooking style. ? Truly exciting experience and one of my co workers taught me this recipe but of course instead of lobster we used camarones. Sometimes those " Series of Unfortunate events can unfold to good trainning for ur future" ?
Once in a while when I have extra money, I'd purchased lobster and started to experiment the recipe. ? The dark side of Lobster really hooked me towards most of my cooking.
After that Mexican era, I moved on to Japanese grilling restaurant and their culture to cook for employees and eat together before we started our shift. During that time I learned that shells of the shrimp peeled for the guests make good miso soup. ? Things u learn always stick with you. So instead of shrimp & since I peeled the lobster shell, why not make lobster stock white miso with mushrooms and cilantro. Mmm mmm mm...
? Totally match with the Lobster cheese salsa sandwich that I made.
Good breakfast ? very smooth.
