And the summons for a man it’s called “Baba”. Both Baba and Njonja are often to mentioned as crossbreed between Indonesian and Tionghoa, in Indonesian it’s mentioned as “Peranakan”. On the daily basis they’re (Baba and Njonja) using a Chinesse culture which is assimilated by a Javanesse culture. The assimilation are visible depend on how they’re dressed. Baba and Njonja are wearing Javanesse traditional dress that we knew it’s called “Kebaya” but also put some Chinesse ornament on that, with a bright colors too. Njonja known had a excellent skill for cook, especially for “Peranakan” menus, which is Chinesse cuisine that appropriate with the spices and taste of Indonesian cuisine. For example “Pindang Bandeng” , “Swike”, “Ayam Kluak”, “Lumpia”, “Kueh Mangkok”, “Onde-Onde”, and “Ronde” etc. Njonja honor to their ancestors accustomed culture as a Chinnese but well opened to assimilated by Javanesse culture. This case proven by their habit while arrange a prayers ritual for their ancestors. Their presented a Javanesse traditional cuisine “Opor” and “Sambal Goreng” as a mandatory menus while a rituals occurred. Moreover on Chinesse new years celebration or usually mentioned as “Cap Go Meh”, Njonja will served “Lontong Cap Go Meh” as a sign of the end of “Imlek” celebration. “Oemah Njonja Bed and Brasserie” and “Baba Apien Kopitiam” carrying a concept of a warmest house of a “Njonja” and a tasty cuisine of Javanesse-Chinesse assimilation. We have 15 rooms which is in every rooms we had a different concept. Each concept are inspired by Scandinavian, Rustic and Nautica Decor. Uniquelly on every rooms are not only fit by 2 guests but it can be 2 to 4 guests.
