MOUTH WATERING BIRYANI :
We are a family of working professionals (a doctor, a banker, a retired PSU servant, a home maker and a couple of engineers ?) with a lot of passion and love for cooking especially "Biryani" ?. We started this concept called The Sunday Biryani just before the lockdown and it's going really well.
We wish to offer our personal rendition of time-tasted recipes with an innovative gastronomic take on traditional cooking methods, fine local produce along with our love and passion for cooking. Moreover, we regard it as a personal challenge to help bring about an end to your search of best biryani in Chennai and let our “biryani & more” distinctive flavours and particular regional character brighten up the biryani lover in you.
All the biryani & more that we serve are cooked in our family kitchen at our sweet home. The kids in our family, along with us, thrive everyday to give our customers an unique “biryani & more” experience to celebrate life’s special moments. For us, it’s only about celebrating life, family & food!
Please note: We respect and adhere to the lockdown measures implemented by the government to control the spread of CoVid 19. Hence, for the month of July 2020, we are catering on Saturdays instead of Sunday. We will accept orders for Saturday, until Friday 9 pm.
Please see our simple menu herewith. And for orders and enquiries, please contact 8939956717.

HEALTHY EATING HABITS :
The fact is that many supplements don’t contain the ingredients they say they do and nowhere is the playing field more shady than with whey protein and fish oil.
•Fish oil is one of those supplements that everyone, from professional athlete, gym rats and even ordinary health conscious people are using.
•Consider these statistics:
Over 70% of fish oil supplements do not contain the levels of EPA or DHA stated on the label.
•One study found that a quarter of omega 3 fish oil supplements tested had high levels of oxidized (harmful) lipids.
•High levels of oxidized lipids, an indication of lipid decomposition, were found in over 80% of more than 35 fish oil supplements from New Zealand, with only 8% meeting international standards.
•50% of Canadian fish oil contains oxidized lipids.
•One study found that omega 3 fish oil products from three of the largest fish oil brands in the US were full of oxidized lipids, toxins and saturated fats. Yes, saturated fats in fish oil!?!
•Oxidized lipids are not a good thing. Rather than protecting heart health, as fish oil supplements are supposed to do, they do damage.
•There are serious impurities in many of the top selling brands on the market.
•If you’re set on supplementing with fish oil, look for oils that are IFOS-compliant.
•IFOS (International Fish Oil Standards) brand is the most well known Quality Certification.
•They operate under standards much higher than even the United States Pharmacopeia (USP), testing for a number of additional contaminants ensuring your fish oil is of the highest quality.
•IFOS certification is therefore synonymous with absolute quality at the top level of the category, ensuring thst you’ve purchased a pure, uncontaminated supplement, without any risk to our health.

Healthy Eating Habits :
Intense training that builds muscle also leads to considerable lactate production, decreasing muscle pH.
•This leads to early muscle fatigue and weakness.
•When muscle pH is low, amino acid uptake is reduced, which suppresses mTOR activation of protein synthesis.
•Low pH also increases protein breakdown.
•Beta alanine is an amino acid that combined with histidine, forms the dipeptide carnosine in the muscle cells.
•It's also amino acid responsible for "beta alanine itch."
•The prickling, called parathesia, is a harmless side effect caused by beta alanine binding to nerve receptors, activating them and causing them to discharge. Many of these nerves are below the skin, giving a prickling pins and needles sensation.
•Carnosine is an intramuscular buffer. When muscle cells contract, they produce acid. The higher the degree of acidity in the cells, the harder it will be for muscles to contract.
Carnosine has a neutralizing effect on that acid.
•So, more carnosine in your muscle cells, means harder and more efficient workouts and less fatigue.
•When beta alanine is combined with creatine, it increases the effect obtained by creatine. They are both supplements that complement each other synergistically. According to a study, a daily dose of 3g of beta alanine and 10g of creatine had more effect on the muscle mass than the creatine itself.
•Supplementing with beta alanine for just 4 weeks can increase our carnosine concentration by 42-65% and prolonging it up to 10-12 weeks boosts carnosine concentrations up to 80%.
•This is a huge increase in an already powerful intracellular buffer. It’s this large increase in buffering capacity within our muscles that is largely responsible for the strength, lean body mass, power and muscular endurance gains that researchers are seeing from beta alanine studies.
