17 November, 2018, Langkawi Island, Malaysia. @ironmancoaching was holding this beautiful medal in his hand and looked at it like the moment will last forever. Our head coach and an amazing person. Chinmay achieved his dream. What he says is here: Goals are only dreams until you achieve them. Becoming an Ironman was a dream, and on this same day last year, I crossed the finish line and heard those golden words, "Chinmay Sharma from India, you are an Ironman". For instance I felt like I'm still in a dream, but it happened for real. There were lot things that happened, and I learned at every stage. I Love what I do, I love my life, I'm happy. I'm kind of a person, who loves a challenge - I always have. My entire life is geared towards finding new challenges. I consider myself a winner. I always try to stay focused. I know it's not easy, but nothing in life is easy. If it was, we wouldn't have been born crying. Obviously I'm growing up & becoming more mature. I've faith in my abilities. I always have done. I am who I am. I've never altered my behaviour for anyone. If they like me, Great. If not... They can stay away. I like seeing the people around me, happy, smiling & content. I'm growing everyday and that's what is important to me. I'm a smart kid - but no ones perfect and that includes me.

The first ever Ironman event finally happened and I'm proud to be a part of it. Ironman Goa 70.3 was fantastic, with more than 1000+athletes. Finished in Top 10 in my AG. Clocked in 6:22:11 hrs of time. With just one month in hand, out of which, only 20 days of practice and spending last 10 days on medication, what more could I ask for. Bike was something I focused on. Finished on 5th place in my AG. Also, I'm super happy, that overall I finished 38th on bike, which is definitely an achievement. Will work much harder now on. On 19 November I decided that I need to race, after a lot of confusion, that did not allow me to practice in last 10 days. Conjunction was still there, but I decided to give it all. And results speak itself. Though breathing was bit tougher on the run, but somehow i managed to keep going. Now there is a weeks rest and than I'll gear up for my next target. Let's do this better.
