Thattu Vadai Settu Kadai

The Thattai is the base and the top part that sandwiches a hearty filling. The filling comprises of shredded carrots, beetroot and onions, seasoned with coriander. This mixture is placed in between the Thattai discs with some chutney and masala applied on top and bottom of the Thattai. Owing to its appearance after the placement of all the elements, it looks like a set together and thus the derivation of the name "Thattu Vadai Settu" You'd be surprised on how yummy the dish would taste despite the usage of uncommon veggies like carrot and beetroot!
